Went here before and after a nice stroll along the canal. Nice fare with breakfast, lunch and light bites available. Inside and outside (in the main) seating available with toilets on hand. Children's menu available. Polite staff and not much of a wait though we did visit at a quiet time.

The Angelfish is a great spot for coffee, cake or a bite to eat for lunch if you're exploring the K&A Canal. The cafe serves a great selection of home made cakes, pastries and also larger dishes for breakfast and lunch. It's well-priced and great quality. On my recent visit I really enjoyed a Cornish Pasty which was flavoursome and packed full of filling. The Coffee & Walnut Cake was extremely good too! There's plenty of tables inside and outside, and it's a great midway point between Bradford on Avon and Bath - so you can refuel if you're walking or cycling.

had an amazing lunch after work, a very peaceful place surrounded by nature and the river on a side, highly recommended for a good time after work or after a busy day at the office.

I was walking along the Kennet and Avon Canal from Bradford on Avon to Bath, enjoying the spring sunshine. When I came across this delightful cafe at Monckton Combe, I had a lovely wedge of coffee and walnut cake, with a cup of my favourite chai latte tea, which was equally good The whole stretch of my walk along the canal was absolutely fantastic seeing all the narrow boats or barges, whichever is the correct definition The railway line to Bath is adjacent to the canal Being largely rural, always ensure that you are physically capable. There are not many exits off the path But if you are excited to experience this wonderful Also, enjoy the Tythe Barn in Bradford on Avon

Loved the homemade cakes. We tasted the coffee and walnut, chocolate fudge and my all time favourite, custard slice. All executed perfectly. Nice ambience by the canal. The tomato and basil soup was also delicious. Good service. Highly recommended for lunch and cakes.

Beautiful place to enjoy lunch in a working canal basin. Extensive menu to suit most tastes. Enjoyed a lovely lunch here with my elderly mum who cannot walk far. Easy access from the car park but does have a steepish path. Superb food and great coffee. Expect it to be busy on sunny days.
